Pol Rotti


500 g

Wheat Flour

1 1/2 Cups

Yara Grated Coconut



1 Cup

Warm Water

Coconut Oil


Add wheat flour, Yara Fresh Grated Coconut, butter and salt to a large mixing bowl. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined. Gradually add water to the mixture while kneading. The dough should hold together without being too sticky. Divide the dough into small portions. Take one portion and flatten it to form a round or an oval-shaped roti. Heat a flat skillet over medium heat. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and spread it across the pan. Carefully place one roti onto the heated pan and cook for about 1-2 minutes. Flip the roti using a spatula and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes. Once both sides are cooked and have a golden brown colour, remove the roti from the pan and place it on a plate. Serve the Pol Roti hot with your favourite Sri Lankan curry or a chutney.
